Desford and Peckleton Art club are delighted to announce that they are hosting their Spring Art Exhibition at Peckleton Village Hall on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May from 10am until 4pm. There will be a variety of art on display, a raffle and a pop-up café will also be available serving hot drinks and delicious home-made cakes. Additionally, parking and disabled access is available on site.
The event follows on from the successful Winter Exhibition in November last year, where member Neil Rollinson won ‘best in show’ for his stunning street scene piece. He was presented with the award by the Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth, Ted Hollick (Neil and the Mayor shown in image below).
Once again, visitors to the exhibition will be able to browse and vote for their favourite painting as well as purchase pieces from the show. Art styles range from abstract to photo-realistic and previous visitors to the exhibition have commented on the high standard of work available.
The show will run for two days and on Sunday afternoon the public vote prize and raffle winners will be announced. The Art club really appreciate the great support that has been shown in the past and look forward to meeting both new and returning visitors.
